Candlelight gleamed across a profusion of ferns and baskets of spring flowers to form the setting for the marriage Friday evening at 8:30 o’clock of Miss Harriet Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spencer of Jamestown and Pfc. James Cram of the US Marine Corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Cram of Roachdale. Rev. A.L. Vermillion read the impressive double-ring service at the home of the bride’s parents in the presence of approximately 30 guests. The bride appeared in a blue-gray suit complemented with navy accessories. Her flowers were red roses. Miss Becky Wright was maid of honor. She was dressed in navy and wore a corsage of camellias. George Cram served as best man for his brother. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Spencer wore a bright blue dress with navy accessories and Mrs. Cram chose a navy and white sheer costume with red accessories. Both had corsages of yellow roses. Immediately following the exchange of vows a reception was held in the home. A two tiered wedding cake center the serving table with Mrs. Emory Kelso of Indianapolis presiding. After a short wedding trip Pfc. Cram will leave for Jacksonville, Fla and Mrs. Cram will reside with her parents until living accommodations are found.
