RUARK, Emma - Roberts, Stephen - Putnam

Brick Chapel news - Emma Ruark, youngest daughter of James Ruark was married to Stephen Roberts of the Brick Chapel vicinity last week. The groom being only 17 he could not procure a license in this state and on making this discovery at Greencastle, he took the midnight train with Emma to the state of Illinois, “where their effort to secure connubial bliss was happily consummated!”
