The commodious residence of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lloyd, corner Locust & Washington Streets contained a large party of relatives and friends Wednesday evneing to witness the ceremony that bound in maarriage Miss Dova Lloyd to Mr. Charles S. Preston of Paris, Ill. Promptly at 8 o'clock the wedding march was played by Miss Rosa Marquis on the violin and the bridal party descended the stairs occupying a position in the central parlor, where President HA Gobin of DePauw Univeristy pronounced a short but beauitful and impressive ceremony. The congratulations were then given and refreshments were served to the guests in the dining rooms. Sprigs of holly being dispensed as favors.

The bride wore a plain but beautiful costome of white silk, white velvet and pearl pasamenterie and carried bride's roses. Among the ushers was Master Robert Renick at the front door and at the guests chambers upon the second floor were Misses Flossie Kelly and Helen Black. The bride's gifts to thsew were a stick pin to the first named and booklets to the young girls. The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs Lloyd. She was born in Putnam County where she grew to womanhood and formed a large circle of friends. In 1892, she graduated from DePauw University and is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity (sic). Miss Lloyd, now Mrs. Preston, receives the hearty congratulations of her many acquaintances. Her husband, Mr. Preston is a prominent young gentleman of Paris, Ill now located in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Preston left at once for Paris to make a visit of a few days with the groom's mother after which they will be at home at 3331 Walnut Street, Philadelphia.

A large number of guests from out of the city attended the wedding among whom were Miss Lucille McNay, Ralph McNay, Misses Marie and Lillie SNedeker, Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace, Mrs. E. Preston and WH Tweedy of Paris, Ill. Mrs. Dr. Pence, Miss Lena Weinhardt, Mrs. Minnie Walker, Miss Charlotte Miller of Terre Haute; Mr. and Mrs. WP Mooney of Indianapolis and Mr. and Mrs. TI Neff of CHicago.

The presents were beautiful and numerous, th eone from the groom to the bride beinga pearl and diamond sunburst.

The assists were as follows: Reception committee: Mrs. Ed Perkins; Mrs. Harry Randal; Miss Emma Bicknel; Mr. and Mrs. TL Neff an the bride's father; ushers for the dining room. Mrs. T. Abrams and Miss Bicknel. In the dining room were: Mrs. Henry Renick, Mrs. Guy Walker of Terre Haute; Mrs. Prof Longden and Misses Stella Perkins, Mary Bicknel, Nellie and Hallie Landes, Hadde Daggy, Grace Farros, Laura Florer, Elizabeth Overstreet, Jessie Neff and Stella Grubb, Messrs Clayton Kelly and Joe Perkins served the punch. At the door and upstairs were Misses Flossie Kelly and Helen Black and Master Robert Rennick.   --- kbz
