HOOD, Jabez E - Ruby Ferguson - Putnam

Miss Ruby Ferguson, teacher in the Martha Ridpath school and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ferguson, residing south of Stilesville became the bride of Jabez E. Hood, Greencastle barber and son of James Hood of Parke County in a simple impressive service read by Rev. Victor LaRaphael Saturday evening at 6 o’clock.   The single ring ceremony took place in their newly furnished home in the Miller Apartments South Vine Street.  The wedding was attended by Mr. and Mrs. OD McCullough, Miss Hollis McClung and Miss Ruby VanBuskirk.  A wedding dinner was given the wedding party by Mr. and Mrs. McCullough in their home on South Jackson Street following the ceremony.  The bride has been a teacher in the Greencastle Public schools for several years and Mr. Hood is employed as a barber in the Timmons Barber Shop.   ---transcribed by kbz
