Married on Thursday afternoon
at the residence of the bride’s parents by Rev. James W. Greene formerly pastor
of Roberts Chapel, this city – Mr. Charles E. Matson, prosecuting attorney of
this Judicial Circuit, a resident of Brazil, Indiana and Miss Elizabeth E.
Farrow, daughter of Col. Will L. Farrow. The ceremony was witnessed only by the
relatives and intimate friends of the family.
The bride appeared even handsomer than usual, being attired in a very
pretty ecru changeable silk, trimmed artistically and in taste. Quite a number
of relatives from abroad were in attendance: among whom we name, Mr. PA Matson,
Cincinnati; Mrs. Florence Sargent, Bloomington, Ills; Mrs. Clara Matson,
Danville, Ind and Mrs. Jones of Crawfordsville. The happy couple left for their
future home at Brazil immediately after the ceremony, followed by the good
wishes of a host of friends. Brazil’s social circle gains a bright and attractive
addition in Mr. Matson’s bride. We extend best wishes for happiness, long life
and prosperity to this newly married couple, and doubt not this lot will be
their’s. The bride received a large
number of presents. We note the
following only: Elegant silver water
pitchers, HS Renic, JT Smith, FG Gilmore and HF Stevenson; silver pickle stand,
PA Matson, Cincinnati; vase, Miss Ida M. Peck; set goblets, Joseph and Bettie
Crow; two pickle stands, Misses Emma and Anna Gillespie; toilet set, Miss Eva
