DETRO, Wayne - Posey Mitchell - Putnam

Posey Mae Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell of Rockville was united in marriage to Wayne Detro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Detro of Fillmore in a pretty ceremony performed by Rev. Isaac Cox of Rockville, Saturday evening at 4 o’clock Dec 23, 1939. The only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell the parents of the bride and Mrs. Frank Detro and infant daughter, Rosetta, the mother and sister of the bridegroom. The bride wore a street length royal blue dress with gold accessories to black patent leather sandals.  The mother of the bride wore a wine colored dress with gold accessories and black slippers. The bridegroom’s mother wore a light brown colored dress with dark brown accessories. After the wedding a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Detro. The young couple will make their home in Fillmore, Ind. Mr. Detro is employed at Reeves Electric company in Greencastle.  - kbz
