A very pretty wedding occurred September 5 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Goff when their daughter Miss Gertrude was married to Charles W. Daniel. Just at twilight about 75 friends and relatives assembled on the front lawn and as the beautiful strains of the wedding march was played by Miss Cintilla Goff, the bridal party consisting of the bride and groom, Mrs. AO Shigley, matron of honor; Margaret Wright, flower girl, Dewald Wright and little Katherine Kelley, bearing wreaths of evergreen, marched to the veranda where they were met by Rev. Jemry Ashley of Lebanon, Ind who performed the very impressive ceremony, while Miss Goff played the soft, sweet melody of “Meditation. ” Immediately following the ceremony, the guests repaired to the house where they refreshments which were carried out in the color scheme of pink and white were served. The bride was gowned in cream silk with Irish point trimmings, while the groom wore the conventional black. The presents were numerous, handsome and useful. The young couple will be at home to their friends after Sept 26 in the house recently erected by Mr. Daniel.
