Browns' Valley Nov,. 19 -- A charming nuptial event occurred last evening at 8:30 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Pope of near here when their daughter, Miss Esther L. Pope was joined in wedlock with Harry T. Byrd of Russellville. 30 guests, immediate friends and relatives, were present to witness the ceremony which was read by Rev. OR South of Russellville. Before the bridal couple entered, Miss Mary Pope of Crawfordsville, a sister of the bride sang, "I Love You Truly." As the young couple descended the stairway and passed through the livivng room into the parlor Miss Pope played the wedding march There were no attendants and the impressive ring service was employed by the officiating minister. Directly after the ceremony was concluded the bride and groom went to the dining room where a wedding supper in courses was served Mrs. Pope was assisted in the dining room by Mrs. John T. Byrd, Mrs. Ernest Byrd and Mrs. Carl Rusk and in the dining room by Miss Vivian Mauck and Misses Marjorie and Vivian Pople, the last two are sisters of the bride. The home was prettily decorated for the occasion the color scheme being yellow and white and chrysanthemums of these colors were used in the various rooms. The bride and groom left last night for a short wedding trip and after Dec 10 will be at home on a farm near Russellville. The groom is an energetic young farmer and he has won for a bride one of the most estimable young ladies of this locality. Both are popular young people and have many well wishing friends. The guests from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Byrd, Indianapolis; Mr. and Mrs. John Meloy, Paris, Ill; Ralph Grimes, and Miss Mary Pope, Crawfordsville; Mr. and Mrs J.M. Gardner, Miss Florence Scott, Carrie White, Mrs. OR Scott, Harry Bane and Arthur Spencer, Russellville. --- kbz
