Brown, Harry G & Annie CROSS Sept 1886 - Putnam

“Bainbridge” – Married Sept 27 1886 at the residence of the bride’s parents by OP Badger, Harry Brown of the firm of Allen Bros and Miss Annie Cross, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. JB Cross, all of Bainbridge.  The wedding was very quiet, only the families of the contracting parties being present. About 9 o’clock the boys began to charivari them and made a terrific racket for 3-4 hours. It is a heathenish practice but there are creatures who seem to enjoy such things.
