Roachdale, Sept. 23 - The marriage of Miss Mary Britton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Britton of this place, and Rev. Wilbur V. Day of Ladoga, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Day of Fillmore, was celebrated on Sunday, September 18, at the home of the bride's parents at three o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. Michel, pastor of the Methodist church at Linden, reading the single ring service.

Preceding the ceremony a program of bridal music was given. Miss Fay Wendling sang 'I Love You Truly' and Benjamin Hargrave sang 'At Dawning.' The bridal party entered the parlor to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march played by Miss Marjorie Call, harpist. The service took place in front of an improvised altar beautifully arranged with ferns, palms and garden flowers, in colors of green yellow and orchid.

Miss Wilma Hennon, maid of honor, wore a beautiful dress of orchid fashioned with tight bodice and full skirt. She carried a shower bouquet of Columbia roses. T. Hadley Haworth, of Danville, Ind., was best man. The bride looked charming in a creation of peach georgette crepe over cream satin trimmed in lace and rhinestones with tight bodice and full skirt. The long tulle veil was caught with valley lilies and her flowers were a shower bouquet of brides' roses and valley lilies. As the bridal party left the parlor, Miss Call played the Mendelssohn wedding march.

Rev. Day and his bride have gone on a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls and Canada and upon their return will attend the Methodist conference at Gary, Indiana.
