Source: Herald-Democrat newspaper, Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana 25 April 1913
A settlement has been reached in the divorce suit of Jesse D. Hughes against Hazel Hughes and in a few days an entry on the court docket will show that Mr. Hughes has been granted the decree. There will be no trial. Although the entry has not yet been made attorneys interested in the case stated this morning that a full agreement had been reached and that the agreement is satisfactory to both the plaintiff and defendant.
Mr. Hughes will get the decree and the custody of the couple's two children during the greater part of the time. Mrs. Hughes will have the children for a few months each year. Mrs. Hughes it is said, will leave with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. HC Crews the first part of next week for Greenville, Miss. She will make her future home with her parents in
Greenville. A financial settlement the particulars of which were not made public, has been made. Allee & James are Mr. Hughes' attorneys and Hays & Murphy represent Mrs. Hughes. --- transcribed by kbz
