W.F. GARDNER - Druggist - 1901 - Putnam

I 1885 with J.T. Wallace as a partner, Mr. Gardner entered the drug business; this partnership lasted but a short time, about six months when Wallace retired and the business has been conducted by Mr. Gardner up to the present time. During this period of 16 years the room now occupied has been used continuously and believing it now time for a change he is just completing a modern, two story and basement, brick business block 25 x 75 feet, heated with steam, piped for cold and hot water and gas.  The first floor of this building will be occupied with the stock of drugs, the upper floor being divided into offices. Mr. Gardner is a registered pharmacist receiving his certificate at Indianapolis in July 1899, and taking a two years home course in the Chicago Pharmaceutical Institute.  -- kbz
