Renick - Hardware - Putnam

H.S. Renick & Co - there is an aching void until we arrive at the mammoth hardware store of these gentlemen. Skates and knives and scissors and nut-crackers, and a thousand other things only to be found in a well-stocked hardware store like this, must be had these Christmas times. Here they are. There is something substantial in a present of the sort, especially a knife, which is always a handy thing to have around, except when a youngster's fingers get in the way. That is also a good place for the housewife. What, pray tell, can be nicer for a Christmas present than one of those excellent cooking stoves? Or a parlor stove? In both of these great improvements, well worth the attention of the ladies, have been made the past year   --- kbz
