Source: Greencastle Daily Banner 10 Jan 1955 p1

After almost ten years of successful operation of Mary and Jim’s Phillips 66 Mr. and Mrs. James Harris have announced the sale of the station on South Bloomington Street to Jack Major of Bainbridge.  The sale is effective immediately and henceforth will be known as Jack’s Phillips 66.  Mr. Major is an experienced filling station operator and until recently was the owner and manager of a service station in Bainbridge which he operated for the past six years.  He has announced that in the operation of the Phillips 66 station in Greencastle he will continue the same successful policies adopted by Mary and Jim for the past 10 years. Mr. and Mrs. Major and their small daughter will make their future home in Greencastle.  Mr. and Mrs. Harris will announce their future plans following a vacation of a few weeks in Arizona. – kbz
