SUTHERLIN, F. J. P. O. Portland Mills, Farmer, Sec 28; born in this county and township June 20, 1839; son of T. W. and Margaret Sutherlin. Married in 1865 Nancy Ford born in Montgomery County May 21, 1840 daughter of John and Mary Ford; children: Mary E. and John F. Is a stanch Democrat. The family is among the oldest in this county, having settled here about 1824 or 1825.
