STARR, William E. - Putnam

Wm. E. Starr is 50 years old today. He denies the charge that he has been marshal of your city all that time. Mr. Starr is one of the best officers in the state and his many friends hope he may live always. At the close of his first ½ century of life our marshal is a vigorous specimen of executive ability, good nature, patriotism and sterling republicanism.
