SEYBOLD, John L. - Putnam

SEYBOLD, John L. P. O. Carpentersville, Farmer, section 24; born November 22, 1837 in Mason County, Ky. Was married Dec 23, 1858 to Eliza J, daughter of Miller and Margaret Black, natives of Montgomery County, Kentucky in which county she was born Nov 9, 1838; she bore two children to Mr. Seybold - William deceased and Mary C., then died May 9, 1864. He was again married Sept 27, 1866 to Sarah F. Hawkins; born March 28, 1842; child of Samuel and Lucretia Hawkins of Nicholas Co KY; have four children - Leilia H.; Lawson L.; Lucretia P. and Rachel M. Mr. Seybold is the youngest in a family of five, two of whom are dead. All the family are Presbyterians, he being an Elder in the church. His father died in this county in 1838; his mother is still living in Greencastle Township.
