SELLERS, Joseph B., PO PUtnamville, Farmer Sec 18; born Feb 8, 1843 in this township son of John C. and Fannie Sellers. He was married to Viola KISER Sept 27, 1868 in Clay Co KY; she bore him 4 children: Cora Bell May 22, 1870; Ulysses Sept 18, 1872; Frank C Sept 16, 1875; Ernest N March 11, 1877. Mr. Sellers entered the army Aug 17, 1861 enlisting in the 27th Regt of Indiana Infantry; was wounded at Cedar Mountain Aug 9, 1862 and unfortunately lost a leg May 25, 1864. In the fall of 1866, he was elected Co. Treasurer and served one term, filling the office with credit to himself and satisfaction to his constituents; Mr. Sellers enjoys the esteem and confidence of men of all parties; he and wife are members of the Presbyterian Church having joined Feb 1875.
