Ronk shot in eye A distressing accident happened near here last Saturday, (New Ross) which may result in the death of Morton Ronk, formerly of this place, but now of Indianapolis. Ronk was shot in the head when a rifle was accidentally discharged at the close of the afternoon's hunting trip. He was taken to Culver Union Hospital at Crawfordsville Sat. eve. and on Sun. was removed to Indianapolis. The rifle ball passed into his face just below the right eye, passing thru the eye and destroying it. The ball was imbedded in the skull and the young man's condition is regarded as serious. Ronk came here Sat. accompanied by Algy Mason of Cleveland. Together with Edgar Mason, Warren Baker and Ben Baber, they went out near Shannondale hunting. After spending the afternoon in the woods the members of the party met at a central point. Ronk was standing in the auto when the rifle, which had been placed in the machine, was accidentally discharged.
