The Cloverdale Courier
notices a well-mated married couple residing here, as follows: In Greencastle
resides a colored man named Edward Pierce who is 75 years old and weighs 120
pounds. His wife is only 28 years of age
and kicks the beam at 331. How is that for incompatibility? Mr. Pierce says he
was a slave in the state of Georgia for a number of years and that his
progenitor was a southern slaveholder.
