McNARY, CHARLES B., P. O. Fillmore, Physician and Surgeon; son of John W. and Sarah A. McNARY; was born in this county, Greencastle Township, March 11, 1841; he lived on his father's farm till twenty years of age, when he entered the Indiana Asbury University, remaining two years; then commenced the study of medicine under W. C. HOPWOOD, M. D., and, in 1864 - 65, attended lectures at the Rush Medical College, Chicago; commenced the practice of his profession in Martinsville, Ill., where he lived till the fall of 1868, when he removed to Fillmore, Ind.; he graduated at the medical college, Indianapolis, in 1875, and after three years' practice, went to New York; took a full course of lectures at the Bellevue Medical College, receiving diploma from the same March 1, 1878. July 10, 1875, in Fillmore, Ind., he was married to Mary P., daughter of Nelson ALSPAUGH; has three children - Davie, Ida and Dora.
