Mc Murry, James T., P. O. Maysville (Jackson Township); is one of the young, enterprising farmers of the county; he now owns 307 acres of land in Sections 22 and 2, residence on the latter; favors all that he believes will increase the prosperity of general good of the community. Politically, he is a Republican. His father, James McMurry, was born in Kentucky, December 1818, left there in 1836, and settled in Montgomery County, Ind.; after a residence there of four years, moved to Putnam County where he married Livonia Darnall, a native of Kentucky, born in December, 1823, by whom he had four children, the subject of this sketch, born May 14, 1849, being the youngest.
