The memory of Albert J. Kussner, famous Hoosier composer will be honored Sunday evening November 16 at 5:30 when the WGN Sympony Orchestra under the direction of Gaston du Moulin will play his compositions from WGN, the Chicago Tribune station on the Drake Hotel.  In the studio at the time of the broadcast will be his widow, Mrs. Kussner who makes her home in Chicago and St. Petersburg, Fla.  Mr. Kussner was born at Greencastle May 7, 1861 and died at St. Petersburg Fla June 13, 1930.  When a small boy his family moved to Terre Haute and Mr. Kussner worked there with his father until he came to Chicago in 1893 where he had his musical triumphs.  His most famous composition for piano, Moon Moths was dedicated to his sister, Amalia, who was a famous miniature painter. - kbz

The Kussner Organ - built expressly for L. Kussner's Palace of Music

The lowest priced and at the same time the best organ for the money ever brought to Terre Haute is the one which is gaining golden opinions under the name of the Kussner Organ.  It is built according to specifications made by Mr. Albert Kussner, who has had thorough training in both piano and organ factories. It speaks highly for the mechanical knowledge of Mr. L. Kussner and Mr. Albert Kussner that the manufactures should have adapted all the improvements suggested.  It is another proof of the superiority of the Palace of Music over establishments where practical knowledge is wanting! - kbz

Albert Kussner, son of L. Kussner, the well known music dealer will return home the latter part of this month after a two years' attendance at Exeter college.  It speaks volumes for the splendid reputation Albert Kussner has earned as a piano tuner that orders for his work have already been received.  He will remain with his father permanently and give his entire attention to piano tuning. - kbz

Lyon & Healy have published three melodies for the piano in a well-bound pamphlet entitled Moon Moths. The composer is Albert Kussner, a brother of Amalia Kussner, the young woman that has become so prominent recently in Europe for her miniatures. There is a fine portrait of Miss Kussner on the cover of Moon Moths and the composition is dedicated to her.

Underneath this is another article on the family
Miss Kussner, sister of Amalia Kussner, the celebrated miniature artist was in the city yesterday consulting Wulschner & Co about placing on sale in this city the musical compositions of Mrs. Albert Kussner under the title of Moon Moths.  Already over 20,000 pieces of the music have been sold.  The cover contains a beautiful portrait of Amalia Kussner to whom the compositions are dedicated.
