ISAACS, Horace - Putnam

Horace Isaacs, 31-year-old Roachdale HS teacher is a candidate for the Republican nomination as a congressman from the Sixth Indiana District at the May 2 primary election. Mr. Isaacs was graduated from Earlham College in 1941 and served in the US Army for 5 years, seeing overseas duty at Tinian and Saipan where he was a member of the general staff as a Lt. in the Ordnance Department. He was a graduate student in government at Indiana University in 1946-47., Since the fall of 1947 he was taught Government and Social Studies at Roachdale HS, Putnam County.  Mr. Isaacs is a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
