IDDINGS, Joshua. PO Coatsville. Farmer. Sec 26; was born in Guilford Co NC Dec 29, 1804; son of William and Elizabeth Iddings; settled in this County, township and Sec 26 in 1837. Married Jan 26, 1829 Mary daughter of John and Hannah Howell who bore him 8 children: William F; Louisa; John C; Minerva; Oliver H (deceased); Maria; Samira (deceased) and Mary E (deceased). Mr. Iddings has retired from active labor and is living upon the earnings of his younger days; his early life was full of toil and anxiety, consequent upon a large family and slender means, but he was nobly helped by a faithful wife and their first little farm of 80 acres grew and increased till now Mr. Iddings owns 195 acres. His wife died Feb 1, 1864.
