DUDLEY HUTCHINSON, farmer and stock-raiser, resides on section 3, Washington Township, where he owns ninety-eight acres of land. He was born in the county, July 21, 1845, son of Henry, deceased, and Mary A. (Albaugh) Hutchison.
The mother resides on the home farm. In 1864 Dudley enlisted in Company E, First Indiana Heavy Artillery, serving fifteen months. He was discharged at Baton Rough, Louisiana, and mustered out at New Orleans. He was married March 23, 1871, to Miss Sarah Hotten, daughter of James B. and Naomi Hooten, pioneers of Putnam County. The mother is deceased and the father is living in this county. Mrs. Hutchison was born in the county, March 4, 1854. Their children are --Phillip O., Henry A., Peter S., Naomi F., James L. and Otto. Mr. Hutchison is a Republican in politics, and is a member of the Grand Army of the Republic.
