Harris, William T., PO Reelsville. Farmer section 20; was born Guilford county NC, November 2, 1820; son of Simpson and Isabel; settled in this township and county in 1831. He married January 7, 1847, in this township Margaret Murphy; Children viz. Jasper N., born January 19, 1849, died August 6, 1850; Margaret M. June 29, 1853; John P. , November 13, 1855; Eveline March 1, 1859; William H, October 31, 1861; Simpson Grant, March 28, 1865, Died June 20, 1865; Mrs. Harris daughter of Sion and Elizabeth Murphy, was born January 1, 1824.

Simpson Harris the father of the subject of this sketch, was born January 1, 1780, his wife in the year 1802. Both are still in this township, where they settled in 1821. He was a soldier in the War of 1812, and some of his ancestors severed in the Revolutionary army. Both he and his wife are members of the Presbyterian church.

Mr. William T. Harris owns a farm of 168 acres. The Harris Family is Republican.
