HAMMOND, G. S. - Putnam

The Republican State Central Committee organized yesterday at Indianapolis and in the Journal’s account of the proceedings we find the following relating to the committeeman of this district: GS HAMMOND of Greencastle from the Fifth district was born April 24, 1856 in Putnam County.  He was alternate delegate to Chicago in 1884 and 1888.  He has been for 17 years connected with the First National Bank of Greencastle.  Ie is a good politician and an earnest Republican.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
