HAMILTON, Robert S., MD, PO Portland Mills: born April 13, 1816 in Ripley County, Ind son of James and Hannah C. Hamilton who settled in this county November 5, 1834. Married March 16, 1867 in Greencastle, Mary R. Nicholson, daughter of David C. Bishop, cousin of R. N. Bishop, Governor of Ohio. Children: James L, Fay S, Pearl G, Claude and Hannah C.
Dr. Hamilton is an intelligent, benevolent man, skillful in his profession, being one of the oldest physicians in Putnam County. Owns 125 acres of thoroughly cultivated land.
