GARNER, Elias S. PO Putnamville, Farmer, Sec 2; born Switzerland Co IND nov 19, 1832; son of Smith and Naississa Garner, all settled this county march 1851. Elias S. was married March 28, 1852 to Margaret CONNELY; children: Alice (Mrs. Bowman) born March 28, 1853; James Feb 16, 1855; William Walter May 3, 1864. Has resided in this township since 1851, with the exception of some years spent in Clay Co and in Washington Township, this county; owns 112 acre sof land well cultivated; he and wife are members of the Methodist Church.
