W. H. Forman

W. H. FORMAN, a native of Clark County, Ky., was born October 11, 1844, and is a son of David and Eliza (Hall) Forman. David Forman was born in Bourbon County, Ky., is still living and makes his home with W. H.; he is a son of James Forman, a native of Virginia, and his father was William. Mrs. Eliza Forman was born in Clark County, Ky., a daughter of James Hall. W. H. Forman was reared on his father's farm in Clark County, and received a common school education.

In 1863 he went to Putnam County, Ind., where he remained about two years, then went to Sangamon County, Ill., remained about four months, then back to Indiana for about eight months; he then returned to his native county, Kentucky, where he has since resided. February 8, 1865, he married Miss Emma HILLIS, of Greencastle, Ind., daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth (Peck) Hillis. Seven children have been born to this union, of whom Harry, Theodore, Frank, David, George and John are living. Mr. Forman owns 260 acres of fine land near Winchester, and politically he is a Democrat.
