COOPER, William M. - Putnam

COOPER, William M. P.O. Mount Meridian, Farmer, Section 18; son of Archibald and Elizabeth Cooper who settle din this county March 1, 1834; was born in Tazewell, Clairborne Co., Tenn April 20, 1830 and was brought to this county by his parents. On March 28, 1852 Mr. Cooper married Samantha Clearwaters, at her father's residence in Warren Twp. John Clearwaters was born June 27, 1806 and his wife, Matilda June 25, 1810; the former settled in this county in 1822. Mrs. Cooper was born Dec 29, 1829, and by her union with Mr. Cooper has had 8 children: Archibald, born March 4, 1853; John Franklin born Sept 15, 1854; William M. born Feb 15, 1857; Laura Isabella born Oct 22, 1859; Charles Emery born Jan 16, 1862; Albert Annis born March 28, 1864; Mary Alice, born Sept 6, 1867 and Ezra born Feb 2, 1870.
