CLOVERDALE, James - Putnam

COVERDILL (sic - Coverdale), James. PO Bainbridge, Farmer, Sec 20, settled in this township in 1866; he was born in Fayette County, KY Feb 22, 1811; son of Richard and Lovina F. Coverdill. Married March 15, 1832, Mary McCoy by whom he had 8 children: Louisa; John W.; Richard V.; Mary; Purnell; Lovina; James K and Giblert; by his second wife (not named but in 1870 census it's Lousana) whom he married Feb 15, 1852 he had five children: Martha E; Matilda; Elizabeth L; Sarah C and Joseph H.
