BRYAN, Dulcena - Putnam

BRYAN, Dulcena, PO Putnamville, residence on Sec 1; was born Dec 19, 1819 in Montgomery Co KY; daughter of Henry and Rebecca MYERS; all settled in this county in 1826. Married Jan 16, 1842 William J. Bryan in Montgomery Co KY; children: Sarah Ann (now Mrs. Mosier) born Oct 15, 1842; Mary Elen Dec 3, 1844; Margaret Jane (now Mrs. Herrod), Sept 16, 1847; William Andrew, June 3, 1850; Amanda M (Mrs. Douglass) Juy 1, 1853 died Feb 18, 1877; Rebecca E July 18, 1858. Mrs. Bryan's father died two years after coming to the county, unable to endure the hardships attending pioneer life; his wife survived him 4 years and then passed away; Mrs. Bryan, then Miss Myers returned to KY where she married and remained there 4 years; after which time, she and her husband returned to this township, settling on Sec 1. Mr. B. followed farming until he died, June 17, 1875, aged 78 years 10 months. He left his family in very comfortable circumstances. Since his death, Mrs. B. and her two unmarried daughters live in the old homestead.
