BRIDGES, Thomas born 1827 - Putnam

BRIDGES, Thomas, PO Putnamville, Farmer Sec 11, son of Moses T. and Mary M. Bridges; was born May 23, 1827 in Flemingburg, KY. Was married Nov 24, 1848 to Ariadne A. PECK of Warren Township. Children: Jacob; Moses W; Katie M; Sarah E; Oscar W; hercules E; Nora M; thomas J; Susie J; Orepheus Zeno. His parents settled in Greencastle Township Sec 21 in 1830 when he was but three years old. At the age of 19, he enlisted in 1st Regt Indiana Vol, Co. A and served one year in the Mexican War. Mr. Bridges' father was born in Flemingsburg, KY Aug 13, 1800 and died May 17, 1873; he was for 45 years a member of the ME Church; his mother was born 1806 and died June 4, 1875.
