Nat C. Bailey was born in Putnam
County, Indiana Oct 11, 1847. He enlisted in Company D, 14th Kansas
Cavalry at Troy, June 1, 1863; was mustered out at Lawrence, Kansas Aug 18,
1865. Married Miss Missouri E. King,
March 15, 1868. Squire PS Soper
performing the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs.
Bailey have three daughters, Lillie Gertrude, who is at home with her parents;
Mrs. Chas. M. Street (Ollie) and Bertha, Mrs. Harry W. Deppen. Mr. Bailey was
sheriff of Doniphan County from 1882-1886, and now resides at 2702 Penn Street,
St . Joseph Mo.
