2	The Tippecanoe Cemetery is located behind (North) the church. It is in Beaver Township on county road 750-760 S between 500 W and 600 W. George and Sarah Adams Miller donated the two acres of land for the church and cemetery. The oldest stone is a daughter of Laban & Anna Capron who died in 1886, which was 2 years before this land was donated to the New Light Church. Then in 1888, Mrs. Samuel (Anna) Keplar died and was the first burial in what was then the new cemetery. Attached to the prior reading I had was a note saying that Grandma Katie Miller noted that field stones at the back of the cemetery marked Indian graves. (Katie Miller was the wife of Dennis Miller and the daughter of William & Ida Goble Umphrey.) I did not see any stones back there but did not go digging trees and stuff back there now. Stones were read starting in the North East corner heading south. All rows are listed North to South. The driveway is east of Row 6. Many Thanks to Sara Slaven for reading the cemetery in 1970-1972 and it was updated September 2025.
