Mrs Lydia Swartz Wilson, who would have been 86 years old the
coming Dec 1, a devout Christian and a life-long resident of Black township and
Mt. Vernon, died unexpectedly at 3:15 o'clock Friday (15 Jul 1955) afternoon at the home of her son, Arnold F. Wilson 329
W. Eighth street.
She was the widow of Andrew Clinton Wilson, a well-known Black
township farmer who died in 1946. Mrs. Wilson and her husband established
residence with the son and his family in 1942.
The late deceased was active for a woman of her advanced age and
was up and about her home yesterday. Death was attributed to a coronary
condition.

Surviving are the son; a grandson, Charles C Wilson, a Weather
Bureau meteorologist at
Mrs. Wilson was the last of her generation. She was born in
Western Black township, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Swartz, who came to
Posey county from
