Whipple; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Houser, Decatur, Ill; and Mrs. Lloyd Hisrich, Batesville, Ind; a son,
Herbert Whipple, Glencoe, Ill; a suburb of Chicago; seven grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Whipple, Chattanooga, Tenn. and
Mrs. Grace Alldredge, of near Mr. Vernon, and two
brothers, Warren Whipple, Miami, Fla., and Herman Whipple, Mt. Vernon.
The daughters and son were born to Mr. Whipple's first marriage to Ella Axton.
She died in 1948 and in 1950 Mr. Whipple married his surviving wife.
Born on a farm on the
As a young man he engaged in farming. Later he entered the life insurance
field and from there moved into real estate sales and farm management.
For many years, Mr. Whipple was the land agent of People's Bank & Trust Co.
