Funeral and burial services were held last Saturday in Tulsa, OK, for
Martin V. Walter, 81, long-time Tulsa real estate investment agent, who died
the day before in a Tulsa hospital after failing health for several months.
The deceased was a former resident of Mt. Vernon, a member of the Walter family which
owned and operated a bakery and confectionery here for many years. He became a
resident of Oklahoma in 1907, first at Sapulpa and in
1916
at Tulsa. Mr. Walter helped in the development of
the Fuller-Walker addition between West Tulsa and Red Fork in the 1920's. He was in the real estate investment
business at Amarillo, TX, in the 1930's.
Survivors
include the widow, Daisy C.; a son, Peter C., Tulsa; two daughters by the deceased's first
marriage to Aline Wilson of Mt. Vernon, IN, Mrs. Dan
J. Davisson and Mrs. Jack Allen, both of Tulsa; 10 grandchildren, and two brothers,
Frederick, Tulsa, and John, Terre Haute, IN.
