JOHN HENRY (JACK) WALKER

April 8 1957

John Henry (Jack) Walker, 79, a farmer in the Upton vicinity for many years prior to his retirement and removal to Mt. Vernon, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (6 Apr 1957) at his home at 425 Chestnut street.

He had been in failing health for two years and critically ill for the last two weeks.

The deceased was a life-long resident of Posey county and a member of first Missionary Baptist Church.

The body is at Weising Funeral Home and will remain there through the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Weisinger chapel.  Rev. Chester McGehee will conduct the service.  Burial will be in Beech Grove cemetery in West Lynn township.

Surviving are the wife, Daphne Thomas Walker, a nephew, Manford Totten, of the Upton community, and four stepchildren.
