William S Wade, 76, R. R. 2, New Harmony, a well-known life - long resident and a
retired farmer of the Wadesville community died at 9 a.m. today at his home.
He had been in failing health for the last five years and
seriously ill for a period of months.
The body is at the Short -Niehaus
Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon where friends may call after Friday noon.
The body will be taken to the Wadesville General Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member, at 10 a.m. Saturday, there to lie in state until
the funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Walter Campbell
will be the officiating minister. Burial will be in Laurel Hill cemetery
near Wadesville.
The deceased was a representative of prominent Posey county
families. His parents were Isaiah Wade and Mary Wallace Wade.

Emma Saalweachter, is deceased. Surviving are
four daughters, Mrs. Raymond Saltzman, R. R. 1, New Harmony; Mrs. Charles Graulich,
R. R. 1, Fort Branch, Mrs. James Morton, Kansas City and Mrs. Vera Hadley, Evansville; three sons, Dale Wade, R. R. 1
Newburgh, Earl Mott Wade, Poseyville and Maurice
Wade, Wadesville; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
