MARTHA ANN PURCELL SWEAT

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday for Mrs. Martha Ann Purcell Sweat, 75, Mt. Vernon, wife of Thomas Sweat, who died at 5 a.m. Sunday (30 Oct 1955) at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville which she entered Friday.

Mrs. Sweat resided at 313 College avenue with her sister, Mrs. Oscar King.

The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.  Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery at Bufkin.  Rev. Bertus Turner of Church of God Mission, of which the deceased was a member, will officiate.

A native of Kentucky, Mrs. Sweat had resided in Mt. Vernon for several years.

Surviving in addition to the husband and the sister, Mrs. King, are a son by a previous marriage, Harvey L. Jupin; one grandchild and seven great-grandchildren and another sister, Mrs. Ella Nation, Lafayette, In.
