GUY R STEVENS

Guy R. Stevens, 62, Ordway, Colo. a member of a prominent South Posey county family and a native of Posey county died yesterday in LaJunta Hospital near Ordway, relatives in Mt. Vernon have been advised.

The deceased, a son of Richard Stevens and Lucy Jackson Stevens left this locality 41 years ago.  He had engaged in the trucking business in Ordway for many years.  He was a veteran of World War I.

Funeral and burial rites will be conducted at Ordway.

Surviving are the wife, Helen ; a son, Jackson, Wichita, Kans; a daughter, Mrs. George Duncan, Pensacola, Fla; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Harold Stein, Mt. Vernon, and five brothers, George W., Marcus, Woodrow, Harry and Richard D. Stevens, all of the Mt. Vernon community.  The brother, George W. recently visited the ill former local resident in Ordway.

The deceased was well remembered by a host of local friends as well as relatives
