ANGELINE VAAL STAUBER

Mrs. Angeline Vaal Stauber, 46, wife of Joseph Stauber, a farmer on R. R. 5, Mt. Vernon, died at 3:45 p.m. Christmas Day in Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville.

 

Mrs. Stauber was a patient in St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville late in October and early in November and on Dec 20 entered Welborn Hospital in Evansville.

 

She was a life-long resident of South Posey county, a daughter of Herman Vaal and Rosemary Brosmer Vaal.  Her church affiliation was with St. Matthew's Catholic Church of Mt. Vernon.  She was a member of the Altar Society of the church and St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John, and also of the Hovey Lake Home Demonstration Club.

 

The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral Home and will remain there until it is taken to St. Matthew's Church for the funeral service Friday morning.

 

Father Raymond B. Smith, pastor of St. Matthew's Church, will be the celebrant of a Requiem High Mass at 8 a.m. Friday.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Death severed marital bonds of 25 years.  Surviving, in addition to the husband, are a son, Paul, and a daughter, Roselle, both at home; a brother, Norbert Vaal, Mt. Vernon, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Mueller, Evansville, and Mrs. Edward Foster, Henderson, Ky.
