ELIZABETH HOFFMAN STANNARD

Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffman Stannard, 88,  a native of Mt. Vernon and a sister of Mrs. Samuel J. Miller, 330 East Third Street died very suddenly Thursday (7 Oct 1954) afternoon at her home in Rogers, Ark., where she and her son, Arthur Stannard, and wife resided,  Mrs. Miller has been informed.

Mrs. Stannard's husband, Henry Stannard, who died a number of years ago, was an early manager of the Western Union office in Mt. Vernon.

The late deceased and her husband left Mt. Vernon 50 years ago.  She was a daughter of John Hoffman, and early Mr. Vernon Cooper, and Anna Hafner Hoffman, whose home was at Ninth and Mill streets in Mt. Vernon.

Funeral rites and burial will be conducted Monday in Kansas City, Mo.

In addition to the son and the sister, a brother, Louis Hoffman, Plainsfield, N.J. survies.
