Frank Springer, 63, Nashville, Tenn., a Louisville & Nashville Railroad
Co., executive and a native of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday (6 Jul 1957) in a Nashville hospital. A chronic heart
condition was fatal. He had been hospitalized two weeks prior to his
death.
The deceased visited in Mt. Vernon within the past year. His parents
were Charles Springer, a Keck-Gonnerman Co.,
machinist, and Jennie Foshee Springer, both
representatives of well-known Mt. Vernon families.
A graduate of Mt. Vernon High school, the deceased saw service in World War
I. He was a veteran employ of the L. & N.
The funeral service was conducted this afternoon at Bracey-Welsh
Funeral Home in Nashville and burial was in a Nashville cemetery.
The wife,
Billie, survives. Mrs. Otto C. Klein, Mrs. William E. Shrode
and Robert A. Keck, Mt. Vernon were first cousins of Mt. Springer. Mrs. Klein and Mrs. Shrode and Charles S. Klein, a second cousin of the
deceased attended the funeral service today from Mt. Vernon.
