GILBERT W SNYDER
Gilbert W. Snyder, 37, chief chemist of Mt. Vernon Milling Co.,
and one of the local milling firm's most valuable employees, died suddenly and
u unexpectedly at his home at 517 Wood street at 2:45 a.m. today.
He had not been ill and was unaware that he had a coronary
condition. He became ill after he had gone to bed and died from a
coronary attack as he sought a home remedy relief from what he believed to be
indigestion.
The Snyder family has resided in
Mt. Vernon Milling co., management said today that the deceased
was one of the firm's "most conscientious and most valuable employes". Mt. Vernon Milling Co., will be closed on the day of the funeral.
Mr. Snyder's body is at Shirt Niehaus
Funeral Home chapel where friends may call this evening. It will be taken
to Kittinger Funeral Home in
Surviving are the wife, Vina, whose
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Huff, reside at Maunie,
Ill; two sons, Dale, an Danny 5, the mother, Mrs. Estella Snyder, Carmi, Ill; a
brother Royal E. Snyder, Grand Rapids, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Reba Kelly,
Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Mary Collard, Lake Charles, La.
A native of Burnt Prairie,
He was scheduled to complete a night course at
