Edward D. Seifert, 71, a well-known farmer and a life-long resident of the same farm in the Caborn vicinity, died between 6 and 7 o'clock last night in the yard of his home.

 

An autopsy supported a coroner's verdict of death from a heart condition.

 

The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral Home.  It will remain there until 11 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to St. John's Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday.

 

Rev. Hubert R. Hoke, St. John's minister, will conduct the service and burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Mr. Seifert was a representative of prominent Marrs township families.  His parents were William Seifert and Louisa Roesner Seifert.

 

Surviving are the wife, nee Amelia Herschelman; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Roehe, R. R. 2, Mt. Vernon; two sons, Erwin, R. R. 13, Evansville, and Raymond of Kent near Madison, Ind. four grandchildren and four brothers, William, Cincinnati, George, R. R. 2, Mt. Vernon, Herman, Evansville, and Louis, Dallas, Tx.

 

Death severed marital bonds of 15 years.
