MARY F "PAM" CAMPBELL PRICE

NEW HARMONY - Mary F. "Pam" Campbell Price, 83, of New Harmony, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at New Harmonie Healthcare Center in New Harmony.

Mary was born May 2, 1923, in Albion, Ill., the daughter of Frank Elihue and Mary "Polly" Schofield Campbell.

She was the youngest of five living children. In 1925 the family moved to the Griffin, Ind., bottoms farm known as Possum Ridge Farm. She graduated from Griffin High School and studied at Lockyear Business School in Evansville for a year. Mary married Jim H. Price, also of Griffin in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1996. She retired from the Federal Social Security Administration after 38 years as a legal secretary.

She was a member of Griffin Methodist Church, Princeton Lutheran Church, Fort Branch Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 455, Isis Temple No. 41, Daughters of the Nile.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Price; brothers, Joe and Harry Campbell; sister, Clarice C. Berry; niece, Mary Jo Campbell-Taylor; and many close cousins and in-laws.

Mary is survived by her brother, Charley Campbell of New Harmonie Health Care. Also surviving are nephews, Bill Berry and his wife, Judy of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Bob Berry and his wife, Phyllis of Evansville; nieces, Sandy Nassour and her husband, Bill of Studio City, Calif., Carolyn Campbell of Wadesville, and Kathy Berry of New Harmony, who took care of her.

A sister-in-law, Arlene Campbell of Wadesville, several great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Werry Funeral Home, New Harmony Chapel, with the Rev. Martha Honaker officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 9 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Posey County Humane Society in Mount Vernon, Ind., or to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Music Ministry of New Harmony.

The family wishes to thank New Harmonie Health Care for all the wonderful care, love, and laughter they gave to our "Aunt Pam" during her time with them.
